    • Secured in-kind donations for networking activity
    • Oversaw drafting, execution, and logistics of documents for CIW YOU(th) activity binders 
    • Maintained communication between 8 youth community partner organizations, YOU(th) Advisory Board, and CIW Staff to facilitate constructive collaboration before, during, and after CIW events

    • Designed and organized the ‘Health and Medicine’ concentration for Engage Chicago’s 8-week program to teach undergraduates the interdisciplinary nature of a future career in health through interactive field studies throughout Chicago
    • Recruited over 30 businesses and nonprofits to host undergrad interns for internships on social justice
    • Upon completion of the program 100% of students indicated a commitment to health justice, compared to an initial 16%

    • Gained insight into political campaign strategy and branding in a swing state and urban community

    • Recruited over 350 women at family planning clinics to participate in a reproductive health survey research study
    • Developed an infographic that boosted client recruitment by 65%
    • Created computer-based survey tools for use among English and Spanish speaking clients using ACASI survey technology
    • Retained 80% of enrolled clients for follow-up survey

    2009 – 2011 

    • Oversaw GlobeMed chapter operations and logistics for two years while recruiting and developing new partnerships with 5 local businesses and 8 student programs
    • Developed new strategy for recruitment that increased full- time membership from 15 to 40 students in two years utilizing one-on-one meetings, MailChimp email marketing, and the implementation of an outdoor adventure staff retreat
    • Led planning and logistics for the 3rd & 4th Annual PSU Global Health Conferences attracting 250 attendees and 20 speakers
    • Led year-long campaign to raise $8,000 for global health partner in Chiapas, Mexico

    • 2009: Knocked a gene out of a Borrelia burgdorferi in 4 weeks using PCR, genetic digests, and yeast transformations

    • 2007: Assisted in the study of chlamydial infection in cells and mice, analyzed data using RT-PCR.
